"Hi, I'm Louise Finkle and I am acting Head of The Michael Tippett College.

The college is a new educational provision for young people aged 19-25 years with special educational needs, we are proud to be the first college in the borough to provide Employment and Supported Living Provision for these young people.

At TMTC we focus our efforts into preparing all our young people for Independent Living and preparing them for Work.

Our personalised study programmes enable learners who have learning difficulties and learning disabilities to develop the living skills they need to participate as citizens within the community and the skills they need to participate within the workplace.

The British Association of Supported Employment (BASE) have highlighted that the Department for Work and Pensions statistics show only 7% of adults with learning disabilities and learning difficulties are in any form of employment nationally.

At TMTC we believe that opportunities for Employment and Supported Living can only work when we listen to the young person’s voice. We match the study programmes to the young adults’ aspirations and outcomes that are set out in their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Our young people are valued members of the community, both within the college and in the borough of Lambeth.

‘Unlocking Potential, everyone’s future counts.’
